When Bishop John Shelby Spong dies, will four million people throng Newark? Maybe Christianity needn't "change or die."

The thing that really gets me is that now that a new pope will be selected, the 'progressives' are all hoping for someone closer to the model of Spong than to JPII in hopes of modernizing the church. But have they not looked at what's been done to the Episcopalian mainline church. It's being emptied by the day. For as much difficulty as the American Catholic Church may have, I'd not trade our situation for there's for anything.
